The ECHOMAP UHD 64cv is the new and improved Garmin fish finder. It includes all of the same features as its predecessor the ECHOMAP UHD 63cv but with a few added bonuses. The ECHOMAP UHD 63cv transducer provides clearer images than ever before, while BlueChart g3 coastal charts will provide you with detailed maps for your next fishing expedition.
The information on this page about one of our newest products the ECHOMAP UHD 64cv is quite interesting to say the least! This product offers exclusive technology which has never been seen in other models such as clear imaging that’s provided by either side or top scanning sonar systems, depending on what best suits your needs at any given time;
Garmin echomap uhd 64cv Key Features
The garmin echomap uhd 64cv has quite afew key features to offer:
Navigation
The ECHOMAP UHD 64cv marine electronics package includes the BlueChart g3 map platform and provides coastal coverage for US waters, including East Coast, Gulf of Mexico, West Coast and Canadian side Great Lakes. These charts are derived from official charts as well as private sources such as nav-aids or depth contours to provide accurate data on tides with currents information in addition to spot soundings that can be found through this mapping software. Along with Auto Guidance features these maps also include Depth Range Shading which is something you won’t find on a typical paper chart! Plus, NOAA raster cartography is available free via ActiveCaptain.
The Garmin unit is compatible with LakeVü g3 charts, which offer inland coverage. But it does not support Navionics charting software or features such as MarinerEye View and FishEye View that are available in the BlueChart maps for this device.
The Garmin ECHOMAP UHD 64cv is a sleek, fast GPS watch that can give you position updates at 5 times per second. It has an impressive sky view mode for the relative location of your satellites and allows WAAS and EGNOS data to be added on top so you’ll never lose signal again!
Sonar and transducer
The new Garmin 010-02331-01 is a higher quality fish finder. It has UHD sonar, which means it offers superior target separation and better imaging than the ECHOMAP Plus 64cv. This top of the line model also includes 3 transducers to ensure you can stay in your boat while fishing for all types of sea life.
The Garmin fish finder system supports many sonar frequencies. This includes 50/77 kHz for 2D CHIRP, and 260-800kHz ranges for ClearVü. It also does not have a Panoptix port so it cannot support panoptic range. The High-Wide CHIRP was built for those who need to find something deep. With a transducer that can be adjusted from 24° up to 16°, this fish sounder has the ability of scanning depths as high as 800 ft, which is perfect when you’re looking for big game or maybe just wanting some peace and quiet in your backyard fishing spot.
The ClearVü sonar system uses an oval beam and covers a wide range of frequencies. The maximum depth it can detect is 200 feet (61 meters), but the boat speed needs to be 10 MPH or slower for best quality imaging.
The Garmin ECHOMAP UHD 64cv offers the full range of standard sonar applications and functions. The list includes A-Scope, Bottom Lock, Fish Symbols (which can be turned on or off), Circular Flasher (creates a circular light that you follow around in order to find fish – this setting is also customizable), Sonar Recording which records your fishing trips for future review as well as Duration & Depth Alarms so you don’t stay out too long!
Control unit features
The Garmin ECHOMAP UHD 64cv is one of the most well-rounded fish finders on the market today. Its 6.2″ screen and 800H x 480V pixel matrix mean that it’s easy to use even when you’re under water! The IPX7 waterproof feature means this device can take a little bit of incidental splashes or rain, so your fishing won’t be interrupted by bad weather conditions if you have an accidental drop in your boat – which we all know will happen sooner or later while out there catching those sweet tuna (or whatever).
This Garmin unit is both NMEA 0183 and 2000 compatible. Hook it up to your boat’s network so that you can communicate with other instruments like AIS units or DSC-capable VHF radio units. It does not support radar, though.
You can enjoy wireless connectivity with this Garmin unit. Furthermore, the ActiveCaptain app will allow you to sync your phone and access points of interest or chat for updates on charts as well as data backup. Lastly, an extra microSD card slot ensures that you have plenty of space when loading up a new chartcard or other type of data back-up option
